Team Rocket's Shadow Looms: Explosive New Cards Revealed!

The Pokémon TCG universe is bracing for impact as a slew of thrilling new cards from the upcoming "The Glory of Team Rocket" set have been unveiled at Japan's Champions League. Set to ignite the Japanese scene on April 18th, these cards will make their global debut as part of the "Destined Rivals" expansion on May 30th. Prepare for a chaotic wave of Team Rocket's signature brand of mayhem!

Leading the charge is Team Rocket's Moltres ex, a fiery behemoth with 220 HP. Its "Flame Screen" attack delivers a scorching 110 damage while bolstering its defenses. However, the truly devastating "Evil Burn" attack forces a discard of Team Rocket's Energy to completely obliterate the opponent's Active Pokémon and all attached cards. This card promises to be a game-changer, capable of swinging the tide of any battle.

The legendary birds aren't alone in this onslaught. Team Rocket's Articuno and Team Rocket's Zapdos, both boasting 120 HP, bring strategic disruption with their "Dark Frost" and "Bad Thunder" attacks, respectively. Both attacks gain a 60 damage boost if Team Rocket’s Energy is attached. Articuno’s “Resistant Veil” ability also shields basic Team Rocket’s Pokemon from attack effects.

Team Rocket's iconic poison-type duo, Koffing and Weezing, also make a menacing appearance. Koffing's "Alert Smog" ability allows for rapid bench reinforcement, while Weezing's "All-Out Explosion" scales its damage based on the number of Koffing and Weezing in play, promising explosive potential.

The Zubat line receives a dark upgrade, featuring Team Rocket's Zubat, Golbat, and the formidable Crobat ex. Golbat's "Sneaky Bite" and Crobat ex's "Bite About" abilities allow for strategic damage placement, while Crobat ex's "Assassin's Return" offers a powerful 120 damage attack with the option to return it to hand.

Team Rocket's Sneasel adds a touch of calculated cruelty, with its "Backstab" attack punishing heavily damaged Benched Pokémon.

The set also introduces crucial Trainer cards. Team Rocket's Great Ball offers a coin-flip chance to retrieve either a Basic or Evolution Team Rocket's Pokémon. Team Rocket's Venture Bomb adds a volatile element, dealing damage to either the opponent or the player. Team Rocket's Petrel allows for strategic Trainer card searching, and Team Rocket's Proton provides a powerful first-turn advantage by retrieving up to three Basic Team Rocket's Pokémon.

With these formidable cards, "The Glory of Team Rocket" promises to shake up the Pokémon TCG meta, bringing a wave of strategic depth and explosive power. Prepare to witness Team Rocket's resurgence!
